Well, a new year means new beginnings...right? February will be bringing a lot of new things your way from Doodle Design Shop- new products, a new blog and an outlet shop (pretty exciting, right?!?) Let me give you a brief preview of whats on the way...

Blogging Doodle- The Doodle Design Shop blog will now have several weekly features such as "Pinteresting" (weekly pics from Pinterest,) "Favorite Things" (highlighting products, businesses and blogs that I love) and Vanover Adventures (a little look into our crazy life.)

Spring 2012 Product Lines- This spring we are introducing several new lines: The Vintage Collection and Wrap It Up! We have also added new colors and fabrics to your favorite Petal Heads and Pleated Posie Hats. All of the new products will be available for purchase on Feb.1st on the Doodle Design Shop website.

I LOVE January! New beginnings, my baby girl's birthday and of course...MARKET! This year we are debuting several new lines and designs. Textures and embellishment are in full bloom in the Spring 2012 line. You can see them this week at Dallas Market January 20th-23rd. Not coming to market? The new lines will launch February 1st. We know you will LOVE the Vintage Collection and our Wrap It Up! head wrap line.

We are revamping our social media as well. Our new blog will feature weekly articles such as "Pinteresting", "Tuesday Treasure Trove", and "Favorite Things" highlighting fabulous businesses and products.

Also coming in February, the Doodle Design Shop Outlet. This new marketplace with feature one of a kind items, samples, discontinued items and a little bit of everything in between.

Pinterest, a purse and a planner

There are three things I am loving right now- aside from my wonderful hubby & precious kiddos- I guess I should start with Pinterest. I am sure that all of you are familiar with this addicting phenomenon... As you can guess, I have spent a lot of time scrolling through the amazing pins people have collected from around the world. Well, Pinterest started my obsession with this purse (the second thing I am loving:)

I just LOVED IT! It would be perfect with the boots I bought at TJMAXX (the pair I bought this summer just anticipating fall.) I was already picturing it with outfits (again that I was gleaning from Pinterest) and planning on how I would be packing it full of everything I drag along with me everywhere I go. So, I was on the hunt. Unfortunately it was Banana Republic circa 2005. But after searching and searching I found one I could afford on Ebay (YAY!) So if you see me anytime soon you will get to see the fab bag too! (All that to say, I blame that irrational obsession on Pinterest :)

The third thing that I am LOVING these days is this planner from Erin Concrad:

Knowing my infatuation with all things organizational, a couple of my friends bought this for me for my birthday and I tote it around everywhere (in my fab bag of course.) There are monthly pages, weekly pages, pockets and even a zipper pouch. There are lots of great styles to choose from and each planner is personalized just for you. It also came with several "extras" like personalized sticker labels and spiral clips. Stop by and grab the perfect one for you!

School is out and summer is in full swing at the Vanover house! We are swimming, playing baseball and Doodle Design Shop is gearing up for June Market in Dallas. One of the things I have been wanting to do for the past year is get back into the groove of blogging. SO... today I am kicking off a "My Favorite Things" Series. Over the next 2 months I will share with you some of my favorite sites, products, foods and people. Keep checking in because there will be GIVEAWAYS throughout the summer.

Today we are kicking off the series with my current obsession- PINTEREST. It is a fabulous place you can collect (pin) and share all of your favorite things from the web or your own pictures. You organize them into catergories (boards) so whenever you want to find that perfect recipe or that DYI project you have been dying to try, you can easily find the idea and link right to it. The Pinterest iPhone App is what I use the most. You can scroll through the top pics from users everywhere and "pin" them to your boards as well. Let me show you a few of my favorite things from my Pinterest Boards....

We are going on a long awaited vacation!! Little Kennedy is pumped about meeting all of her favorite princesses and of course Minnie Mouse. Brayden is already planning his moves for Jedi training. And I will admit, I might be just as excited as they are!

A few changes are coming... here is the beginning...

All signs are now offered in 3 sizes of mdf wood... 6x12, 6x24 and 12x12. You can choose from our list of growing designs or you can simply pick size, pick your colors and pick the saying of your choice- what an easy way to get a custom sign!

Doodle Design signs are always handpainted. We never use vinyl lettering. All art is sealed with non-yellowing, UV resistant sealer and all ribbons are heat sealed to prevent fraying.
